Iyant’s inception was ignited by a profound recognition of the systemic marginalization of black and African voices within the publishing industry. We understood that these communities were often overlooked, their narratives relegated to the sidelines of mainstream discourse. Motivated by a commitment to rectify this injustice, we embarked on a mission to provide a platform where the richness and diversity of black and African experiences could thrive.

As we navigated the complexities of the publishing world, our dedication to amplifying these voices remained steadfast. We actively sought out stories, perspectives, and talents from black and African communities, ensuring that they were not only heard but celebrated. From magazines highlighting the achievements and challenges of black individuals to digital platforms fostering dialogue and representation, every aspect of our work was imbued with a commitment to uplifting these voices.

Today, as we reflect on our journey, we take pride in the strides we’ve made toward fostering a more inclusive literary landscape. However, we also acknowledge that there is still much work to be done. With each publication, each initiative, we reaffirm our pledge to continue championing black and African voices, challenging stereotypes, and fostering a more equitable and representative publishing industry for all.

Concept

The concept for Iyant Publishing was born out of a deep-seated recognition of the systemic underrepresentation of diverse voices in the publishing industry. Motivated by a passion for amplifying marginalized narratives, the founders set out to create a platform dedicated to inclusivity and empowerment.

Incorporation

In 2021, Iyant Publishing was officially incorporated, marking the culmination of years of vision, dedication, and hard work. With a clear mission to amplify marginalized voices and foster inclusivity, Iyant embarked on a journey to reshape the literary landscape for the better.
